Every move matters in Russian Solitaire. With no stock pile to provide extra cards, success depends on organizing the tableau, revealing hidden cards, and building each suit from Ace to King. The same-suit building rules create a rewarding challenge for players who enjoy careful planning. Can you complete every foundation?
ARRANGE CARDS BY SUIT
Your objective in Russian Solitaire is to move every card to the four foundation piles, building each suit from Ace through King. Rearrange tableau cards in descending order by suit, reveal face-down cards as soon as possible, and use empty columns wisely. Only a King or a group beginning with a King can fill an empty column, so every decision has lasting consequences.
Game Flow for Beginners
- Scan for matches: Look for any face-up cards that can hook onto a same-suit card exactly one rank higher.
- Dig for Aces: Send Aces to the empty foundation slots at the top as soon as they become exposed.
- Uncover facedown cards: Clear the face-up stacks on top of facedown cards to flip them over.
- Clear a column: Once a column is empty, grab an exposed King to fill the gap.
